Court awards jail terms to three drug smugglers

ISLAMABAD: A Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Rawalpindi has sent three suspects, including a woman smuggler and a foreigner, to jail after it was proved that they were involved in drug smuggling.

According to details, Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Rawalpindi Judge Chaudhry Anwar Muhammad Khan has heard different smuggling cases and has sent three persons to jail when their offence was proven in the court.

During the process of hearing, a woman smuggler named Bakht Meena found guilty of smuggling drugs. The court sentenced her to jail term and imposed a Rs 10,000 fine. The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Rawalpindi judge has sentenced a foreigner Prince to 11 months jail and Rs 20,000 fine and accused Azhar Javid has been awarded seven months jail and Rs 10,000 fine.

It is important to mention here that these all accused were arrested by the ANF in different type of drug smuggling and lodged FIR against them.
