MULTAN: The Customs Adjudication has released seized goods of Saim Mobeen (SM) Food Company on the orders of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The SM Food Company had filed a petition in the Multan Bench of the LHC for the release of its goods from the custody of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation.
Earlier, the company had submitted an application for the quashing of a first information report registered by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation for misdeclaration of imported goods. But the LHC rejected the application after the customs intelligence presented conclusive evidence against the company.
The court issued release orders after the SM Food Company filed a petition in this regard.
The adjudication collector released the goods after the company paid 35 percent amount of the seized goods.
The hearing has been adjourned until 5 December.
