Hearing into mega drug trafficking case adjourned until May 26

KARACHI: A Special Court for Narcotics Control has adjourned the case of smuggling a huge quantity of drugs till May 26.

According to the details, Special Court for Narcotics Control, while hearing the case of smuggling of 7,000 kilogram drugs from Karachi to foreign countries has ordered the investigation officer to present the loaded container with drugs before the court.

The accused Akhtar Muhammad, Hayat Muhammad and Akhtar Zaib were also present in the court. During the argument, the lawyer informed the court that the said accused used to send the drugs from Multan to Karachi and it was later smuggled to the foreign countries from Karachi.

The lawyer further stated that customs team on the secret information raided at Karachi Port Trust and busted the container loaded with 7000 kilograms of drugs packed into the boxes.

The Special Court for Narcotics Control ordered the investigation officer for presenting the said container loaded with the drugs and adjourned the case for further hearing till 26th of May.
