Court summons customs employees to record statement tomorrow

LAHORE: Session Court on Tuesday directed customs employees to appear in court tomorrow May 9 to record their statement in heroin smuggling case.

Earlier a Czech woman carrying nine kilogrammes of heroin was arrested from Allama Iqbal International Airport. The 21-year-old identified as Tereza Hluskova was attempting to smuggle the heroin from Lahore to Abu Dhabi. Her companion who was identified as Shoaib was also arrested. Session Judge Shahid Bashir Chaudhary also indicted her in heroin smuggling case.

During hearing accused lady prayed that she is innocent. She said that she came to visit Pakistan for modeling purpose and don’t know that heroin is hidden in her bag.

It is necessary to mention here that court summoned Customs Inspector Shahid, Din Moammad and lady sepoy Naheed Akhtar to record their statements. The court directed that if the above-mentioned inspectors will not appear in court, their arrest warrants will be issued.
