CPI inflation increased by 3.2% in Dec

ISLAMABAD: The inflation measured through Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.2 per cent in December on year-on-year basis as compared to same month of last year.

However, on month-on-month basis, the CPI inflation decreased by 0.6 per cent in December as compared to the previous month.

Meanwhile, the Sensitive Price Index (SPI) inflation on year-on-year basis increased by 2.9 per cent in December as compared to increase of 2.1 per cent a month earlier while on month-on-month basis, the SPI decreased by 0.7 per cent in the month under review as compared to an increase of 1 per cent month earlier.

Similarly the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation on year-on-year basis decreased by 0.4 per cent in December 2015 as compared to decrease of 1.7 per cent a month earlier and a decrease of 0.9 per cent in December 2014.
