16 Customs officials to attend training workshop in Abu Dhabi‏ from Sept 14-18

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (Customs wing) is going to conduct training with the cooperation of United States on “Cross Border Financial Investigation Training “by Department of Homeland Security.

The Federal Board of Revenue is going to conduct training of Customs officers on the directions of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The training of Customs officials0 will be organized in Abu Dhabi. The training on the issue of the ”Cross Border Financial Investigation Training “is offered by Department of Homeland Security, United States Embassy Islamabad.

Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

The Federal Board of Revenue Customs Wing has nominated the 16 officers for the said training from the various Customs Collectorates of Pakistan. The Chief Management (Customs) FBR requested for the issuance of No Objection Certificate for the nominated officers to proceed abroad for participation in the training course as well as gratis passport. The training will be held in Abu Dhabi from September 14 to 18.

Economic Affairs Division being the focal Division for the capacity building technical assistance from the friendly countries which coordinate with different countries organizations for various foreign training workshops.

Strict guidelines issued for officials to maintain discipline during training programmes from Economic Affairs Division for the moral integrity and conduct of the nominee which may also be taken into consideration to avoid any unpleasant incidents during training.

The 16 officers belong to Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Peshawar. Four females and 12 male officials from Customs are going to attend training programme very soon.

Following are the names of officials who are nominated for training from various Customs Collectorates.

Hassan Saqib Sheikh Secretary (Customs) FBR Islamabad, Ms.Farhat Ali Deputy Collector, MCC Multan. Inamullah Wazir, Deputy Director (I&I Customs), Quetta. Ms.Ammara Durrani Deputy Collector MCC (Appraisement), Lahore,  Muhammad Amin, Deputy Collector, MCC Peshawar. Ms. Zainab Mahmood, Assistant Director (I&I Customs), Lahore,  Ihsanullah Shah Assistant Collector MCC, Quetta. Imran Afzal, Assistant Collector MCC, Port  Qasim Karachi. Ms. Maryam Khalid  Assistant Collector MCC, Islamabad. Asim Rehman, Assistant Collector MCC (Appraisement –East) Karachi. Atta-Ur-Rehman Superintendent, MCC (Preventive), Lahore. Mazhar Ali Babar Superintendent, MCC Port Qasim Karachi. Ihsanullah, Deputy Superintendent, MCC Gilgit Baltistan. Razi-ur-Rehman Hakro Senior Preventive Officer MCC (Preventive),Karachi.  Bashir Ali, Preventive Officer MCC (Preventive ),Karachi . Muhammad Iqbal, inspector, MCC Hyderabad.

Only Deputy Collector Farhat Ali has been nominated from Model of Customs Collectorate Multan in the foreign training of Cross Border Financial Investigation from US Department of Homeland Security.
