Custom Court confirms Hashim Raza’s bail in mis-declaration case

KARACHI: Custom Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi has confirmed the bail of a suspect, Hashim Raza son of Muhammad Arshad, and fixed the date of hearing to frame charges against him. The suspect was arrested in a case of mis-declaration.

During the hearing, counsel for the accused Zain A Jatoi advocate and Ashiq Ali Anwar Rana, special prosecutor for the Custom Department, appeared before the court. The counsel for the accused submitted that the court had granted interim bail to Hashim Raza who is ready to face the trial. He requested the court to confirm his bail. The court granted the bail and fixed November 21, 2016 as the date of hearing.
