M/s Shamim Traders Karachi used wrong Pakistan Customs Tariff (PCT) headings to get a consignment of handicraft items and other things cleared during the last week of August and caused a loss of Rs 1.22 million to the national treasury.

During the scrutiny of the import data, the Customs Exports team detected that the company used wrong PCT heading for which it was issued a show-cause notice No: 206/2017 to pay the evaded amounts of tax and duty.

Meanwhile, the Customs Exports unearthed another tax evasion done by M/s W W garments and company Karachi  who got cleared a consignment of Latha fabrics.
