KINGSTON: Investigators from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) have moved into the second phase of their operation targeting tax evaders.
A MOCA official says the probe is now concentrated in sections of the Corporate Area.
The official refused to disclose further details of the ongoing operation.
MOCA investigators seized documents and other items in Manchester, St Elizabeth and St Ann.
However, our news centre has been informed that no arrests were made in connection with the seizures.
And investigators had also targeted officials from the Jamaica Customs Department.
MOCA says the operations are the culmination of an intense investigation by the Revenue Protection Division and itself into a case of tax evasion and suspected breaches of the Customs Act.
