Customs Adjudication adjourns Commander Agro tax evasion case of Rs 7m till March 3

MULTAN: Customs Adjudication has adjourned the hearing of tax evasion in miss declaration of import chemical by Commander Agro Private Limited till March 3rd.

The Commander Agro is facing an allegation of importing chemicals consignment of lambda-cyhalothrin by declaring Zinc sulphate for the manufacturing of their by-products and agricultural pesticides. The company had imported zinc sulphate worth Rs 25 million a few months ago.

The company had tried to evade Customs duty tax of Rs 7 million through miss declaration of chemical import. The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has already recovered the Rs 7 million of customs evaded duty but its contravention was sent to Customs Adjudication with an allegation of tax evasion.

Collector Customs Adjudication Saleem Ranjha has adjourned the case till 3rd of March.
