Customs Adjudication decides 23 cases involving Rs236.756m in August

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication authorities settled as many as 23 cases involving Rs236.756 million during the month of August 2017.

Sources told Customs Today, that the Customs Adjudication issued Order in Original (ONO) in favor of the Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigations Faisalabad and Field Investigation Unit (FIU) Khushab. The sources further said that all 23 cases include seizures of cloths, Indian origin food grains, Iranian diesel, cell phones, foreign origin cigarettes, auto parts, Toyota Corolla vehicles with different registration numbers, ladies cloths and toys which were confiscated during different raids by the customs authorities.

According to a monthly statement, Faisalabad Adjudication Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig decided 7 cases involving Rs226.950 million whereas Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad decided 2 smuggling cases involving Rs 4.086 million.

Additional Collector Asma Hameed settled 14 cases involving Rs5.720 million and announced decisions in favour of the Customs Intelligence and Investigations and Anti Smuggling Organizations (ASO) Faisalabad, Mianwali, Sargodha, Jhang and Sara-e-Muhajir.
