Customs Adjudication finalizes 37 seizure cases in July‏

MULTAN: The Collectorate of Adjudication Customs has finalized 37 seizure cases worth Rs 14.608 million for the duration of July 2015.

According to details, Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan has decided 37 various seizure cases in the month of July in economic year 2015-16.

All the 37 cases concluded by Deputy Collector Adjudication customs were in the favor of the department and no case was decided in the favour of taxpayer during adjudication in July.

Almost 49 fresh seizure cases formed by Customs Intelligence and Anti-Smuggling Organization have been added in the Court of Deputy Collector Adjudication for legal proceeding in the month of July.  Amount of Rs 15.204 million were involved in the fresh seizure cases formed by Customs during the month of July for adjudication.

There are about 21 seizure cases pending in front of Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication from last three months for proceedings which involved revenue of Rs 5.396 million.

Almost four cases are still present for hearing of Collector in the Customs Adjudication which involved revenue of Rs 60.892 million. There was no fresh case included in the month of July for adjudication in front of Collector for trial.

Additional Collector Adjudication has also four cases available for trial in Customs Adjudication of Rs 10 million during the month of July, 2015.
