Customs Adjudication hears five cases filed by customs intelligence

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector (ADC) Beelamur Ramzan on Friday heard five cases of smuggling involving Rs 9.2 million filed by the Customs intelligence and investigation regional office Faisalabad.

The Faisalabad intelligence registered five cases of smuggling against Noor Muhammad and others allegedly involved in bringing polyester fabrics weighing 14,080 kg and trailer No, TLH-277 worth Rs 1.3 million into country without payment of duty and taxes. Another case was filed against Muhammad Imran allegedly involved in smuggling of grey textile fabrics weighing 10,190kg along with trailer No, TLC-868 worth Rs 2.9 million. The intelligence wing also forwarded the case of Muhammad Akmal allegedly involved in smuggling of Toyota Hiace Van No, LES-10-6580 worth Rs 2 million to the adjudication.
