Customs Adjudication-I grants 60 days to prepare ONO in Q-Mobile tax evasion case

Multan:  Customs Adjudication-I Collector Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi has taken 60 days extension from the Federal Board of Revenue to prepare Order-in-Original (ONO) in the tax evasion case of Q-Mobile and its authorized dealers.

As per detail, Q-Mobile and its authorized dealers New Allied Electronics and Digicom (Pvt) Limited allegedly involve in tax evasion of Rs 772 million. The last hearing of the case was preceded on December 11, while ONO has not been issued yet.

During the course of ONO preparation the time period for the verdict of case has expired so before the expiry the Collector has taken the 60 days extension to prepare it. The period had expired on February 26 and it is expected that the ONO came out at any time now.
