M/s Asad Industries Karachi imported a consignment of various types of imported blankets and bed-sheet-cover sets which were got cleared by mis-declaring the classification under the Pakistan Custom Tariff (PCT) from the Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) through Examiner Mojeeb-ur-Rehman.

The company allegedly availed undue and inadmissible benefit as well as exemption of sales tax.

It is pertinent to mention here that M/s Asad Industries Karachi itself has imported identical/same goods under the correct PCT heading 2508.2487. Apart from it, all other importers of blankets and bed-sheet-cover sets have either been declared by the importers or assessed by the collectorates.
