Customs Adjudication issues notice to suspect in vehicle seizure case

ISLAMABAD: Customs Adjudication Islamabad has issued a show cause notice to Ikhlaq Sani in a vehicle seizure case.

According to the details, the Customs officials have impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Corolla car worth Rs 1.2 million near Dera Ismail Khan during routine checking and registered a seizure case No. 02/2015 against the owner namely Ikhlaq Sani, resident of Saeyab Raod Saddar Colony, Quetta.

Therefore, Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Islamabad, Kaukab Farooq has issued a show cause notice and fixed August 26, 2015 as hearing date for the said seized vehicle.

In the show cause notice the offender has called for the hearing and directed him to submit the evidence before the court to prove the legal import of the vehicle or regarding the payment of duty/taxes.
