Customs Adjudication Multan decides 16 cases worth Rs 24m

MULTAN: The Customs Adjudication has decided 16 cases worth Rs 24 million in the Model Customs Collectorate Multan in January.

Deputy Collector Saima Ayyaz has decided 16 cases of customs duty evasion during January in fiscal year 2014-15.

During the month of January, 41 fresh cases of seizure have been included for the hearing of confiscation in the forward-facing of Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication. There were still 10 pending cases available for final decision in the Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Fayaz Anwar, has decided seven different seizure cases of worth Rs 17.879 million in the trial. Around seven cases were pending for the decision in the Additional Customs Adjudication. Almost seven new cases have been included for hearing in the month of January.

Only one case out of 16 cases decision has been done in the favour of taxpayer by Additional Customs Adjudication during the month of January. Additional Collector Customs Adjudication has released the 60,000 litters High Speed Diesel was done in the favor of taxpayer in the month of January.  Collector Customs Adjudication has eight pending cases of worth Rs 58.009 million still available in the court for the final decision.

Almost 56 cases of worth Rs 99.498 million revenue involved in the pending cases in the Customs Adjudication Multan for hearing .

Customs Adjudication had decided 208 cases of Worth Rs 204.922 million so far in the economic year 2014-15. Collector Customs Adjudication has decided five cases worth Rs 50 million in the fiscal Year 2014-15.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Fayaz Anwar has decided 29 cases worth Rs 58.582 million during the first seven months of the current financial year 2014-15. Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Saima Ayyaz had decided the 174 seizure cases of worth Rs 96.140 million in the period of first seven months of the current economic year.
