Customs Adjudication settles 316 cases involving Rs 401m in FY2015-16

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication settled as many as 316 involving Rs 401.943 million during outgoing fiscal year 2015-16.

The adjudication issued Order-in-Originals in favour of Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Model Custom Collectorate and Customs Intelligence and Investigation. The department heard cases of smuggled vehicles imported cloth, generator, ceramic tiles, smuggled diesel and others miscellaneous items during the said period.

According to the details, Customs Adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed decided 28 cases involving Rs 208.743 million, while Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan settled 52 cases involving Rs 93.627 million.

Meanwhile, Deputy Collector Asma Hameed solved 236 cases involving Rs 99.573 million and announced decision in favour of customs department.
