Customs Adjudication Zafar Akhtar summons suspect in BMW smuggling case

LAHORE: Collector Adjudication has summoned a suspect whose BMW car was confiscated as he failed to produce legal customs clearance documents.

The Collector of Customs Adjudication Zafar Akhtar summoned accused Asim Mehmood to appear before the collector on May 25, 2016 and explain as to why his BMW car bearing registration no LZM-86 should not be confiscated.

It was said that the BMW was confiscated by collectorate Customs Intelligence and Investigations near H-Block Commercial Market DHA on February 29, 2016.

It was informed the customs authorities confiscated the vehicle as the owner of the car failed to produce legal documents against the car while he was accused of using the car under fake number plate which was also confirmed by the customs authorities from PRAL which also showed no record in query report.
