KARACHI: Licence-holder customs agents have shown their concern as the Training and Research director general (DG) has not arranged a training course for them for the last four months.
According to sources, under Customs Rule Act 99, a training course is mandatory for licenced customs agents. The DG had arranged a six-working day training course a few months ago. Several customs agents had benefitted from the session and were also issued certificates after completion of the training programme. The training course was meant for three batches. Customs agents have urged the Training and Research DG to start training as soon as possible.
