Customs and Border Protection now accepting applications

WASHINGTON: People who are interested in being at the frontline of protecting the country should consider applying for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. CBP announced Friday that there are openings for CBP officer, Border Patrol agent and air interdiction agent positions in South Texas. David P. Higgerson, director of field operations for the Laredo office, encourages those interested to apply. “We want to let job seekers know that there are live vacancy announcements for positions in all three principal CBP field disciplines in the South Texas area and strongly encourage potential applicants to contact the Laredo Recruiting Office and avail themselves of the one-of-a-kind, unparalleled service, guidance to job seekers that our recruiters provide,” Higgerson said in a statement.

CBP invites those interested in a rewarding federal law enforcement career to contact the Laredo Recruiting Office, housed at Laredo Field Office at 109 Shiloh Dr., Suite 300. “The Laredo Recruiting Office is a one-stop shop for recruiting and application assistance for frontline positions within CBP’s three principal field components: Office of Field Operations, U.S. Border Patrol and Air and Marine Operations,” CBP said in a statement. Recruiters are on hand at the Laredo Recruiting Office to answer applicants’ questions regarding the job application process, provide assistance regarding the electronic submittal of applications, provide resume writing assistance and help guide applicants through the application process, CBP said. Those interested need to set up an appointment by calling 956-753-1001 or 956-753-1002, 956-753-1003 or 956-1004.
