Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourns hearing of 10 cases

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal bench-II comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Technical Member Imran Tariq heard 10 cases and adjourned all the cases until the next hearing.

The cases included Customs Lahore versus One Ten International, Customs Faisalabad versus Kamal Textile, Customs Faisalabad versus Sweety Textile, Customs Lahore versus Advance International. On Thursday, the tribunal heard cases of Customs Lahore versus Maxi Inch, M/s Crescent Textile versus Customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Umer versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan.

The tribunal also heard cases of M/s Crescent Textile versus Customs Faisalabad, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan versus Abdul Ghani, Hussain Trading versus Customs Faisalabad and Beco Iron and Steel versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan.

In all the cases, the representatives of the appellants and respondents appeared before the court and argued in favour of their respective parties. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourned all the cases until the next hearing. The Customs Appellate Tribunal also reserved verdict of many cases after conclusion of arguments.

It is also necessary to mention here that Customs Appellate Tribunal has expedited its efforts to conclude hearing of pending cases on priority basis.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Customs Tribunal heard 13 cases and adjourned all the cases until the next hearing. The tribunal heard cases, including Usman Ali versus Customs Sambrial, Muhammad Sohail Ashraf seven appeals versus Customs Lahore and Asim Sons versus Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore.
