MULTAN: In a pivotal turn of events, Customs Appellate Tribunal has authorized the release of a Bedford Oil Tanker, Registration Number C-1168, after extensive legal proceedings. The tanker, which had been seized under seizure case No. 102/2023 since 03.07.2023, was subject to a bank guarantee/pay order requirement amounting to Rs 150,000/-.
Responding to the tribunal’s directives, Intezar Muhammad, the owner of the tanker, promptly fulfilled the stipulated requirements by presenting a pay order sourced from Habib Bank Limited, Bahawalpur Bypass Multan. This payment was meticulously verified by the Customs Enforcement Multan, leading to the issuance of the release order for the vehicle, pending the completion of due verification of antecedents.
