LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal has dismissed a case filed by Irfan Ahmad, who is a resident of Sheikhupura, versus Colloctor Customs (Appeals). The appellant says that the Customs authorities seized his vehicle without any solid evidence.
On the other side, the Customs Department filed parawise comments in which it says that Customs Appeals passed orders after considering all aspects and facts of the case. The Customs Appeals further said that appellant admitted that the body of vehicle was non-duty paid and he has also failed to provide any document showing payment of duty and taxes of confiscated Toyota Hilux Surf.
After hearing the arguments of both parties Member Judicial Customs Appellate Tribunal Omer Arshad Hakeem dismissed the appeals on remarks that appellant failed to produce any legality of the vehicle.
