ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal has dismissed an appeal filed by Ameer Zaib against the Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad collector, wherein the applicant had challenged the Order-in-Original (ONO) 64/2014 issued on April 4, 2014.

Customs officials had arrested accused Ameer Zaib from the Islamabad airport when he was trying to smuggle undeclared foreign currency amounting to nearly Rs 9.5 million. The customs authorities had ordered to seize the currency, after which Ameer Zaib filed an appeal.
