Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 10 important cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II, comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Technical Member Imran Tariq, heard 10 cases on Wednesday and adjourned all of them until the next hearing.

Customs Appellate Tribunal heard cases including Unison Traders versus customs Lahore, Muhammad Jamil versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Abid Butt versus customs Lahore, Muhammad Rehman versus customs Multan.

On Wednesday, Customs Appellate Tribunal heard cases of Hussain Trading versus customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Asghar versus customs Lahore, Muhammad Umer versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Muhammad Akram Chohan and Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Arif Abdullah.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard the cases of Wali Muhammad versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Dildar Jani versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore and Faiz Hussain versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

In all the cases, counsels for appellants appeared before the court and submitted arguments. After hearing the arguments from all the parties, the tribunal member reserved verdict in only one case and all other cases’ hearings were adjourned for next dates.

Customs Appellate Tribunal division bench-II hears cases fixed for hearing in previous dates. The bench –I of Customs Appellate Tribunal not working nowadays and only one bench is hearing the cases.

Customs Tribunal hears case from Monday to Thursday and the last two days Friday and Saturday, tribunal not hears any case of appellant. The tribunal always try to decide case very soon as soon as possible.
