Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 11 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal division bench-II comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Member Technical Imran Tariq heard 11 cases and adjourned all the cases until the next hearing.

The Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourned the hearing of 11 cases, including M/s Advance International versus customs Lahore, M/s Hafiz Muhammad Tariq Butt versus customs Lahore, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Fakhar Abbas.

On Tuesday, the tribunal heard cases of Hamyun Akber versus Customs Lahore, Gulistan Textile versus customs Lahore, Abdul Ghafar versus Field Intelligence Unit D.G Khan, Maxi Inch versus Valuation Lahore, customs Multan versus Abdul Rauf.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard cases filed by Abdul Ghafar versus FIU D.G Khan, Pak Electron Limited (PEL) versus Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore, Sohail and others versus customs Lahore and M/s Master link versus directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore.

In all the cases, the representatives of the appellants and respondents appeared before the court and argued in favor of their respective parties. After hearing the arguments, the Customs Appellate Tribunal reserved the verdict in few cases of Lahore and adjourned all the other cases until the next hearing.

In few cases, the case filed by the departments against the adjudication decision and in other cases the private parties challenged the order of adjudication on some specific grounds. Customs Appellate Tribunal will decide the case after hearing the arguments from both parties.
