Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 13 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (single & double) bench heard 13 cases on Tuesday and adjourned all for different dates without those cases whose verdicts were reserved.

The division bench-II, comprising Omer Arshad Hakeem, Member Judicial and Imran Tariq, Member Technical, heard nine cases including Director Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Gull Jan, Jamil Brothers versus Director Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Summer Mehmood versus Customs Lahore, A.Z Apparel versus Customs Lahore.

Furthermore, same bench heard cases of Muhammad Ramzan Afzal versus Directorate Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, A. Z Apparel versus Customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Sadiq versus Customs Lahore, Al-Hamra Fabrics versus Director Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad and Ali Noor versus Customs Lahore.

The single bench-I, comprising Muhammad Shabbir Gujjar, Member Judicial, heard one case of Director Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Aurang Zaib.

Single bench-II comprising member Technical Imran Tariq heard three cases of Admiral Sanitary versus Customs Sambrial, Farahat Abbas Shah versus Customs Faisalabad and Muhammad Hassan versus Customs Faisalabad.

All three benches heard the cases reserved for the same day. In all cases counsels for appellants and respondent appeared before the tribunal members and argued in the favor of their respective parties, after hearings all cases are adjourned into next dates.
