Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 13 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The division bench-II of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Technical Member Imran Tariq heard 13 cases and adjourned all the cases until the next hearing.

The Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourned the hearing of 13 cases, including Usman Ali versus Customs Sambrial, Muhammad Sohail Ashraf seven appeals versus Customs Lahore and Asim Sons versus Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore.

On Wednesday, the tribunal heard cases of Muhammad Sohail Ashraf versus Customs Lahore, Saeed Nawaz versus Customs Multan, Aijmar Traders versus Customs Lahore, Customs Faisalabad versus Muhammad Aamin, Naik Badshah versus Customs Lahore and Javed Khan versus Customs Faisalabad.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard Mir Bakhat versus Customs Faisalabad, Nadir Shah versus Customs Faisalabad, Abid Shah versus Customs Faisalabad and Muhammad Ashraf versus Customs Faisalabad.

In all the cases, the representatives of the appellants and respondents appeared before the court and argued in favour of their respective parties. After hearing the arguments from the parties, the Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourned all the cases until the next hearing. The Customs Appellate Tribunal also reserved verdict of many cases after conclusion of arguments.

It is also necessary to mention that the Customs Appellate Tribunal has expedited its efforts to conclude hearing of pending cases on priority basis.
