Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 16 cases on Thursday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (single & double) bench heard 16 cases on Thursday and adjourned all for different dates without those cases whose verdicts were reserved.

The division bench-II, comprising Omer Arshad Hakeem, Member Judicial and Imran Tariq, Member Technical, heard nine cases including Customs Sambrial versus Nawab Zada Haider, Amjed Ali versus Customs Faisalabad, Tax Impex versus Customs Sambrial, Juma Khan versus Director Intelligence and investigation Multan.

Furthermore, same bench heard cases of A.Z Apparel versus Customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Umer versus Director Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Customs Faisalabad versus Safar Khan, A. Z Appreal versus Customs Faisalabad, Raaz Muhammad versus Director Intelligence and Investigation Multan.

The single bench-I, comprising Muhammad Shabbir Gujjar, Member Judicial, heard six cases which includes M/s Jeelan Logistics two appeals versus Customs Lahore, Director Intelligence and Investigation Lahore versus Sajjad Qurashi, Pak Shaheen Cargo versus Customs Lahore, Director Intelligence and Investigation Lahore versus Aurangzaib, three appeal of different nature and counsel for the appellant also different and appear before the court and argued in the favour of respective parties.

Tribunal also heard cases of Muhammad Rizwan versus Customs Lahore. In all cases counsel for the appellant and respondent appeared and argued. After hearing the parties all cases are put off into next dates.
