Lahore: Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 26 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: Customs Appellate Tribunal’s bench-I heard 19 cases, while bench-II heard only seven cases pertaining to customs seizures and others yesterday.

As per details, bench-I comprising Member Judicial Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti heard two cases of collector of customs Sambrial versus Ali Sher and Naveed Ahmed versus Anti-Smuggling Organisation Lahore.

While two members divisional bench I comprising Member Judicial Ghulam Murtza Bhatti and Member Technical Khawja Omer Mehdi heard 11 cases in which six cases including Pakistan State Oil versus Customs Multan, Bank of Khayber versus Customs Lahore, Pak precise versus Customs Intelligence Lahore, Alhamra hosiery versus Customs Lahore, collector of customs Lahore versus Syed Bhais, and Imperial Electronics versus Customs Post Clearance Audit.

On the other hand, Member Technical Khawja Omer Mehdi heard in single bench Basfa Textiles versus intelligence Lahore, Shaukat Mehmood and Apex International versus intelligence Lahore, Shahbaz Ali versus intelligence Faisalabad, Amir’s International versus Customs Lahore.

Similarly, divisional bench-II consisting of Member Judicial Omer Arshed Hakeem and Member Technical Imran Tariq heard case of Ravi Autos versus Arshed Majeed.

Single member bench-II Member Technical Imran Tariq heard two cases of Amen Husain versus Tayab Awan, and Durani Enterprises versus Shahid Naeem Mirza.

Omer Arshed hakeem heard three cases in single bench hearing of Customs Lahore versus Muhammad Zahid, Muhammad Rashid versus intelligence Gujarat and customs Lahore versus Naveed Anwar.
