Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 37 important cases on Monday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal heard 37 important cases on Monday. The members of all benches from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar heard the cases in Lahore and adjourned all the cases until the next hearing. Chairman Customs Appellate Tribunal formed special benches to decide the cases.

The Customs Appellate Tribunal special division bench comprising Member Judicial Bench-II Karachi Tahir Zia Mehr and Member Technical Bench-II Karachi Nazim Saleem adjourned 9 cases. The adjourned cases includes Sohail Ashraf versus customs Lahore, directorate of intelligence and investigation Faisalabad versus Mirza Rizwan Baig, Pakistan Cycle versus Customs Lahore, Ahmed fine textile versus Customs Multan two cases, Sultan Mehmood versus Customs Lahore, Flying Board Papers versus  customs Lahore and M.P. Independent versus customs Lahore and Collector customs Lahore versus horizonent.

Special bench comprising Member Judicial Bench-II Omer Arshed Hakeem heard 08 cases. These cases includes BHA International two appeals versus customs Multan, Danyal Agencies versus directorate PCA Lahore, intelligence Faisalabad versus Amjad javaid, Bisma International versus customs Lahore, Mubrak Shah versus directorate Faisalabad, directorate Post Clearance Audit Lahore versus F.G.Trading, Tanveer Hussain versus customs Faisalabad and customs Multan versus Rana Muhammad Idrees.

Chairman Customs Appellate Tribunal Justice ® Malik Manzoor Hussain and Member Technical Bench-I Karachi Zulifqar A Kazmi heard 20 cases including Collector Customs Lahore four appeals versus Riaz Bottlers, Riaz Bottlers four appeals versus collector customs Lahore, two cases of Riaz Bottlers versus customs Lahore, Bashir Ahmed versus customs Lahore, Haji.M.Aslam versus customs Lahore, Collector Customs Multan versus M.Sulman, Pak Star Automobile versus customs Lahore.

Furthermore, Younis Tanneris versus customs Lahore, Collector Customs Sambrial versus Ali Arslan, director Multan versus Nasir Ahmed, Amir Bearing versus director valuation and Nawab Gull versus customs Faisalabad.
