Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 39 cases

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti has heard 39 cases of customs related matters in accompany with Member Technical, Muhammad Yahya.

A special division bench was formed at CAT headquarters in Islamabad to continue hearing of cases in division bench after former Member Technical, Khalid Mehmood, and a member of divisional bench, had left to take charge as Managing Director Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC).

Former Member Technical, Khalid Mehmood, was posted as MD OEC couple of weeks ago. CAT divisional bench at headquarter had become dysfunctional following his departure.

In order to make divisional bench functional, Yahya, Member Technical from Karachi, was called by the chairman to reform division bench to maintain hearings in the bench.
