Customs Appellate Tribunal rejects appeal of imported PVC Flex sheets

LAHORE: Customs Appellate Tribunal on Monday has dismissed the appeal in seized PVC Flex Sheets which was filed by the Collector of Customs Appraisement Lahore against Khashif Azhar and others.

Omer Arshed Hakeem, member judicial bench-II heard the case in details and examined the record produced by the learned counsels of parties.

The judgements passed with remarks that after the consideration of all aspects of case the same is dismissed and impugned order is upheld.

As per details of case, M/s Oliver Industries imported three consignments of PVC Flex Sheets from China and requested to release the goods under decleard value but customs officiels examined the consignment and charge duties and taxes as per law.

After show cause notice, adjudication proceeding were culminated and order in original was passed with remarks that final assessment order is time barred.

Being aggrived with the impugned order and appeal was filed before the Customs Appellate Tribunal with grounds that order in original agains the fact and matter is adjudicated beyond the and same is liable to set aside. The importer of PVC flex sheet was produced a documents and record of import of goods.

After hearing arguments by learned counsels of both parties, Customs Appellate Tribunal dismissed the case.
