Customs Appellate Tribunal reserves verdict on petition filed by M/s Venus (Private) Limited

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal Chairman, Justice (r) Manzoor Hussain, has reserved a decision on a petition filed by M/s Venus (Private) Limited.

A single bench of the tribunal heard the case and reserved the decision after hearing the arguments from both sides. This case was filed against Collectorate of Customs Islamabad. The bench adjourned the hearing on some other cases filed against Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad. However, the bench also dated in office the hearing of customs collectorate submissions against United Trading Company, M/s Janjua Life Trust, M/s Smart Zone.

He also heard cases of M/s Wahid Hamid, M/s Premier Formica Industries, M/s Ghani Glass Limited M Ishaq, M/s Fazal Razaq and M/s Fazal ur Rehmand.

It is pertinent to mention here that while chairing the hearings, the chairman time and again remarked that verdict on cases would not be delayed and lawyers involved must pay heed to tribunal’s directives for bringing immediate relief to appellants.
