ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (CAT) on Tuesday reserved a decision on a couple of customs references involving Directorate General of Investigation and Intelligence and Model Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad.
A single bench of the CAT comprising Member Technical Ziauddin Wazir heard the references. The bench reserved a decision on references filed by M/s Pak Gulf Construction (Private) Limited, and Raja Nabeel Razaq.
M/s Pak Gulf Construction (Private) Limited had filed a case for release of imported panel sheets, commonly used for buildings outer renovation. The bench reserved the decision after receiving report from an evaluation committee. The appellant had filed the cases against MCC, Islamabad.
Raja Nabeel Razaq had filed a case for release of vehicle confiscated by the customs authorities. This case was filed against Directorate General of Investigation and Intelligence, Islamabad. The bench reserved the decision after hearing arguments from sides and submission of documents by the department.
The bench had also heard cases filed by M/s Frontier Cable and M/s Mughal Steel. M/s Frontier Cable had filed a case challenging re-evaluation of imported goods. The appellant had filed the case against MCC, Islamabad.
M/s Mughal Steel also had filed the cases regarding release of imported goods worth over Rs 5,000,000. This case was filed against MCC, Islamabad.
