Customs Appellate Tribunal resumes hearing of case filed by M/s Lucky Enterprises

ISLAMABAD:  A single bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal resumed the hearing on M/s Lucky Enterprises’ customs reference.

The single bench comprising Member, Syed Muhammad Anwar, heard the matter. The appellant had filed this case against Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad. The hearing was dated in office with issuance of notices to the parties concerned.  Earlier, the bench had disposed of a case filed by the M/s Lucky Enterprises for non-prosecution.

Customs Appellate Tribunal’s single bench comprising Member, Syed Muhammad Anwar disposed of the matter after issuing repeated notices to the sides who had not appeared before the tribunal on last date of hearing. The bench disposed of the matter for non-prosecution (DNP).

Earlier the tribunal had asked the counsels to prepare for final arguments in the customs reference pending with the tribunal for some weeks.

M/s Lucky Enterprises had filed the case against MCC. It had challenged a customs duty assessment sustained by the adjudication.
