Customs Appellate Tribunal seeks record of two appeals

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal, single & double bench, heard 18 cases and adjourned all for different dates without those cases whose verdicts were reserved. The judgments of three appeals were reserved to pass the final order. Tribunal also sought the record of two appeals.

The division bench-I, comprising Omer Arshed Hakeem, Member Judicial and Saud Imran, Member Technical, heard 10 cases including Abdul Basit versus Customs Lahore, Nuzhat Bukhari versus Customs Lahore, and Collector Customs Lahore versus Kashif Azhar, Collector Customs Lahore Muzakir Shah, and Collector Customs Lahore Khuram Azhar.

Furthermore, the same bench heard cases of M/s Al-Rehman Fabrics versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, M/s Master Link versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, M/s H Ali Construction versus Customs Lahore, two appeals and M/s Raja Qaiser versus Customs Sambrial.

The single bench-I, comprising Muhammad Shabbir Gujjar, Member Judicial, heard eight cases including M/s Akbri Glass & Aluminum versus Directorate Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore, M/s Zain Enterprises versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Alhamra Enterprises versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan versus Muhammad Rashid, M/s Salman Traders versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Oversease Business versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore and Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore versus M I Traders

The Bench-I, Member Technical Saud Imran, heard an appeal of Al- Rehman Fabrics versus Customs Sambrial.

After the complete hearing of all the reserved cases, the Customs Appellate Tribunal has reserved verdicts in two appeals whose orders will be passed soon and seeks record in two appeals.
