Customs Appellate Tribunal single bench to hear six cases today

ISLAMABAD: A single bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising Muhammad Maqsood ul Hassan (Member Judicial) will hear six cases on Wednesday (today).

Out of six, four were filed against Collectorate of Customs and two against Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation

Among appellants, Adnan Khan, Muhammad Jamil and Junaid Ali had filed petitions against customs authorities pertaining to the allegation of currency smuggling. Customs authorities had recovered foreign currency worth exceeding permitted limit.

M/s United Mobiles had filed the petition, 139/CU/IB/2015, seeking release of 160 mobiles which were seized by customs intelligence Islamabad.

M/s Attock Enterprises and Zaheer Khan were contesting cases seeking relief against customs department and customs intelligence penalization.
