Customs Appellate Tribunal to hear nine customs references today

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal (CAT) will hear nine customs references on Tuesday (today) filed against Directorate General of Investigation and Intelligence, Islamabad (DGI&I) and Model Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad (MCC).

The division bench headed by Chairman Justice (r) Malik Manzoor Hussain and comprising another Member, Ziaudding Wazir would hear all the nine cases.

Out of these cases, two were filed challenging decisions of MCC Islamabad by M/s Mansoor and M/s Atlas Honda. M/s Atlas Honda had filed two cases.

Directorate General of Investigation and Intelligence had to respond in six cases filed by M/s Fida International, M/S Irfan Ullah, M/s Luner Technologies, M/s Five Star Trading, M/s Fahad Industries, and M/s Nayatel Private Limited.

All of the said cases had been filed during recently year. The department had yet not submitted objections any of the said cases. The appellants had submitted that they had exhausted departmental adjudication before filing application before the tribunal in search of justice.
