ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal will resume the hearing of a customs reference filed by M/s Warid Telecom (Private) Limited on Friday.
A division bench of the tribunal comprising Syed Muhammad Anwar and Muhammad Nasir Khan would hear the case filed by M/s Warid Telecom against Collectorate of Customs a few months ago.
Through the petition, the company had challenged a decision announced by the adjudication for sustaining claims of recoverable customs duty of around Rs 40 million.
The tribunal had held the hearing last week and told the counsels to ensure their presence on the next hearing. The tribunal had issued the directives through assisting counsels who had appeared instead of the main counsels.
