Both of these cases had been filed during 2016. The cases were still pending with the tribunal. Earlier, these cases were heard by a single bench while now they were being heard by a division bench as per rules of tribunal.

M/s Lucky Enterprises had had filed the case against MCC. It had challenged a customs duty assessment sustained by the adjudication.

Haq Nawaz had filed cases regarding release of vehicles which were seized by customs authorities amid attempt to smuggling various items.

The appellants had challenged department’s adjudication decision before the bench through the said cases. Adjudication had maintained charges against appellants during departmental hearings.

During previous hearing, the bench had adjourned hearing of said cases due to absence of responding counsels from the tribunal. However, the bench then had asked the assisting counsels on the provision of relating documents by the both sides. These appellants had also filed some other cases before the tribunal which were being heard by other benches.
