Customs Appraisement collects Rs 4,330.74m in five months

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement surpassed the revenue target for first five months (July-November), 2016 and collected Rs 4,330.74 million against the assigned revenue collection target of Rs 3,122.10 million.

According to details, the Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty during the period.

The Custom Appraisement was assigned Rs 2465 million revenue collection target under the head of sales tax but it surpassed the target by 132 percent and collected Rs 3259.65 million during the said period. While under the head of customs duty, it collected Rs 1016.53 million against the assigned target of Rs 540 million.

Customs Appraisement Faisalabad also generated Rs 54.41 million as income tax against the assigned target of Rs 87 million that was achieved up to 63 percent, while it collected Rs 0.15 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED) against the assigned target of Rs 30.10 million.
