Customs Appraisement collects Rs 542.330m in two weeks of November

FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement collected Rs 542.330 million during first two weeks of November 2017 against the set target of Rs 610.66 million surpassing it by 93 percent.

The Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty during the above said period.

According to the statistics available data with Customs Today, the Collectorate also surpassed the target set for customs duty it collected Rs143.912 million against the set target of Rs154.40 million. The Collectorate also recovered sales tax of Rs 391.548 million against the set target of Rs 452.89 million.

Customs Appraisement also collected Rs 6.831 million under the head of income tax during the above said period against the set target of Rs 3.34 million and surpassed the target by Rs 127%. Faisalabad Collectorate collected Rs 0.038 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED), against target Rs 0.03 million.

Customs Appraisement Assistant Collector Ameer Ahmed said that the customs department has already send notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months asking them to clear outstanding tax dues at the earliest to avoid stern action.
