Customs Appraisement collects Rs 5603.64m till Dec. 2016

FAISALABAD: The Collectorate of Appraisement surpassed the revenue collection target assigned for (July-December ) 2016-17, as it collected Rs 5603.64 millions against the set target of Rs 4001.43 million.

Sources told to Customs Today, the Custom Appraisement was assigned Rs 3143 million revenue collection target in wake of sales tax (ST) but appraisement surpassed the target by 133 percent, as it collected Rs 4182.05 million during the said period.

Under the head of customs duty, appraisement collected Rs 1357.99 million against the set target of Rs 689 million by achieving target up to 197 percent.

Customs Appraisement generated Rs 63.42 million as income tax against the assigned target of Rs 139 million that was achieved up to 46 percent, while it collected Rs 0.18 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED) against the target of Rs 30.43 million.
