Customs Appraisement collects Rs 8,591m during August

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement collected Rs 8,591 million during August 2016-17. The Appraisement collected Rs 2,681 million under the head of customs duty during August 2016 as compared to Rs 2,584 million collected during the same period of the last financial year.

On the other hand, the Collectorate collected Rs 4,815 million sales tax during the period under review against Rs 5,263 million collected during the month of August 2015-16.

Similarly, the Collectorate collected Rs 1081 million withholding tax (WHT) while the collectorate collected Rs1095 million during the same period of last year.

The Collectorate collected Rs 12 million during the month of August 2016 against Rs 38 million as federal excise duty (FED) during the same period of last financial year.

Overall the Collectorate collected Rs 8591 million during the period under review against Rs 8983 million during same period of last financial year.
