Customs Appraisement detects tax evasion by M/s Importro Clearing Agents Skills Int’l

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Mughalpura Dryport foiled a bid of mis-declaration by M/s Importro Clearing Agents Skills International.

Sources told Customs Today that customs authorities detected an attempt to evade over Rs 5 million duty and taxes by the agency. The customs sources said that the agency imported two containers of motor fans and aluminium wires. The dry port examination branch discontinued examination smelling a rat. Both the containers were mis-declared by the agency. The Customs authorities registered FIR of fraud against the owner of the agency and detained both of the containers.

It is necessary to mention here that Collector of Customs Appraisement Amjadur Rehman directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against mis-declaration. He further directed that anyone who found involved in tax evasion and mis-declaration should be dealt according to law.
