Chief Collector Nasir and Collector Manzoor lauds officials’ efforts
KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement-East has surpassed the revenue target of April-2015 by Rs4774.28 million on collecting Rs19939.92 million against the target of Rs15165.6 million.
MCC Appraisement-East collected the revenue in wake of Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax (ST), Income Tax (IT) and Federal Excise Duty (FED) in April of current fiscal year 2014-15 by marking historical achievement.
The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs6.023 billion in share of customs duty against the set target of Rs4.633 billion with an increase of Rs1.39 billion during the April-2015.
Similarly, it has collected an amount of Rs10.092 billion in share of sales tax against the set target of Rs8.266 billion with an increase of Rs1.826 billion during said period.
The Collectorate has further collected Rs3.663 billion in share of income tax against the set target of Rs2.127 billion with a surplus of Rs1.536 billion in April of current fiscal year.
The MCC Appraisement-East has collected Rs159.85million in April as federal excise duty against the set target of Rs138.42million with a sharp increase of Rs21.43million.
It is pertinent to mention here that there is the first time that any collectorate surpassed the revenue targets under all heads including custom duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty.
The Chief Collector Appraisement-South, Nasir Masroor Ahmed and Collector MCC Appraisement-East Manzoor Hussain Memon lauded the efforts of officials who took part in the revenue collection.
The both high-ups hoped that the authorities concerned of the collectorate will continue the same efforts by the end of the fiscal year2014-15 in order to surpass the revenue targets.
