Customs Appraisement Faisalabad exceeds target by posting 130% growth

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement collected Rs1102.149million during January 2018 against the set target of Rs846.99million surpassing it by 130 percent.

The Customs Appraisement received customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) during said period. It generated Rs322.120million as customs duty against the assigned target of Rs276.26million.

The collectorate exceeded the allocated target of sale tax by 137 percent as it collected Rs770.587million against the earmarked target of Rs560.84million.

It earned Rs9.415million in the wake of income tax during said period against the earmarked target of Rs9.79million and surpassed the target by 96 percent. It got Rs0.025millions as FED.

Customs Appraisement Assistant Collector Ameer Ahmed says the department already sent notices to a number of tax defaulters in the recent months asking them to clear outstanding tax dues at the earliest to avoid stern action.
