Customs Appraisement registers 25pc growth until March 21

LAHORE: The Collectorate of Customs Appraisement has collected Rs 42,610 million revenue up to March 21 for the financial year 2015-16. The collectorate has registered a growth of 25 percent as compared to the same period of the last financial year.

The collectorate collected Rs 14,547 million customs duty during the period under review against the target of Rs 13,979 million. The collectorate collected Rs 23,457 million sales tax against the target of Rs 20,286 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 4,491 million income tax against the target of Rs 3,56 million during the period under review.

Similarly, the collectorate collected Rs 114 million federal excise duty against Rs 121 million last year during the period under review. Overall the collectoarte collected revenue of Rs 14,547 million including all taxes.
